Cake Auction 2026

The annual City Church Cake Auction is designed to help our families send their kids to camp. This year, the Cake Auction will be held on Sunday, March 8 at 4 p.m. in the Annex. We have some exciting new elements, including:
- Camp Bundles that will be added to specific cakes auctioned off at the event. These bundles feature items such as a night at Top Golf for 8, a backyard date night set-up and catered, dinner with Pastor Luther & Trinity, and more! 
- All new $1 Raffle! For $1 you can go home with an amazing cake. Use the link provided to purchase your chances to win, online or at the event.

 

Why Summer Camp Matters

Summer Camp is a unique opportunity that significantly extends the church’s time to nurture the faith of our next generation. It allows us to:
* Build Community: Increase connection among kids and families.
* Inspire Leaders: Provide leaders with opportunities for impactful faith conversations.
* Share Jesus: Give children and students the chance to experience His love and learn about discipleship.

 

Funding Importance

Summer Camp is not covered by our church budget; it relies entirely on your generosity—whether by baking, purchasing cakes, or inviting others to join. Your support transforms this event into a powerful initiative with lasting spiritual impact.


Cost Breakdown

Without the Cake Auction, families would face a cost exceeding $650 per attendee when considering safe transportation, adult leaders (many of whom volunteer by taking time off work), and general camp costs. The auction significantly reduces this burden.

How you can help:
- Donate a cake. You can’t have an auction without the cake! Use the link provided to let us know what you’d like to donate. It doesn’t have to be cake. Any dessert, casserole, or delectable is welcome!
- Purchase a cake…or several! There are multiple ways cakes can be purchased. The main way is to attend the Cake Auction and either purchase a cake during the live auction or make a bid in the silent auction. We also offer an online auction leading up to the event itself. This takes place on the City Church Facebook page. This year, we will be offering a $1 Raffle for the chance to win 4 of our best items! 
- Sponsor a Camp Bundle. If you or your business would like to sponsor a bundle, please contact Austin Rhodes at arhodes@citychurchpc.com
- Sponsor a kid. It costs approximately $650 to send a kid to camp; any monetary donation is appreciated.

Cake Drop-Off Details

- Dates:

  • Friday, March 6th: Noon - 7 PM

  • Saturday, March 7th: 9 AM - 2 PM

- Location: Main Campus

***Any cakes not dropped off during these times will be placed in the silent auction.

 

Cake Placement for the Auction

The Cake Auction has grown tremendously since its inception, from 20 cakes in the fellowship hall to over 150 items last year! While we aim to feature as many cakes in the Live Auction as possible, space is limited to 72 items within the 2-hour timeframe. If you contribute multiple cakes, please understand that no more than two items per baker/donor may be included in the Live Auction. The final auction order will be established Saturday night after drop-off concludes and will be random in nature.

The Cake Auction is a highlight of the year, showcasing God’s grace and generosity through our community. It’s a celebration that echoes the spirit of Acts 2:42-47, centered around delightful treats!
